Milton Keynes Model Helicopter Club
“The official chill out Club” Russ Deakin
Safety First

Basic safe flying at the club

The following rules must be followed to promote safe flying at the club.

If you are a new flyer you'll soon realise that R/C helicopters can be very dangerous if basic safety
measures are not followed.

Mark Carvell, the club safety officer, is available to give advice at the field most weekends, Saturdays and
Sundays. Alternatively you can always ask the more experienced members for guidance, they'll be more than
happy to help.  Remember, safety is everyone's responsibility and in everyone's best interests.

Please note the additional important safety information in Location now that our flying is adjacent to a gun
club.
    1.   NEVER switch your transmitter on until you've checked the frequency board to see if your channel is
         free.
    2.  NEVER leave a helicopter with its engine running un-attended
    3.  NEVER fly in or over the pits or car parking area.
    4.  ALWAYS put a tag, normally your membership card, on the frequency board to indicate which channel
you are using BEFORE you switch your transmitter on.
    5.  ONLY fly from the peg positions indicated along the side of the field. Which side of the field is
designated for flying may depend on the prevailing conditions.
